Agrojay Towards Farmers Prosperity

Technology is a gift; not given by God but evolved by us for the sake of a better future. The last century 20th century was the era of evolutions and the 21st century has enabled us with the latest technologies that help us at every single step of the life. Be it manufacturing industry or service industry, workplaces, or fun-places; the technology-driven instruments can be seen everywhere. Then how could the agriculture field stay behind? The experts in this field also approached the same way and started introducing new agriculture technologies for the sake of smart farming.

The agriculture technology plays a vital role in the decision making and support; not just for farmers but for the advisors too. The agriculture economy is experiencing significant changes and expecting the massive impact in upcoming years with the help of smart farming.

While tapping on the agriculture technology, we can say it is a bunch of multiple pieces such as internet of things (IoT), use of vertical farming, sensors, digital equipment, MIS and much more. Here are some of the trends and technologies used in agriculture-

Robotics

The agriculture industry is vast, and the use of robotics makes it easy for the farmers when the cultivation and processes are considered. Nursery planting, monitoring and analysis, fertilization, irrigation, weeding, harvesting, and many such supportive actions can be done through robotics. The workforce required for such activities can be minimized.

Drones

Satellite imaging may not be that clear to analyze the soil quality. Drones are useful for field analysis. Crop seeding and spraying different liquids is another application of drones. Besides, they help monitor the field which gives a bird’s eye view to the farmer.

IoT

Internet of things has drastically changed the world. It is just nothing but a network of things that are interlinked to each other. IoT incorporates multiple aspects of smart farming, such as installing sensors to monitor field, automated irrigation system, controlling robots, and so on. This ultimately optimizes the available infrastructure and results in a better product.

Warehousing Tools

When the product is ready, it needs to be stored somewhere before dispatching it to the market. A warehouse is built for inventory storage, and a system is designed in order to manage the warehousing processes.

MIS

Though MIS is not the face of any technology, it plays the most important role among all. Management Information System collects all the data from numerous sensors in addition to the data inserted manually, analyses it and generates a report based on which decisions are made.
To conclude, agriculture technology has made things simpler and efficient through which farming has touched a new sky.
