जमीन : 

मध्यम प्रतीची, निचऱ्याची जमीन

सुधारित वाण : 

गजेंद्र, श्रीकीर्ती, श्रीरूप, श्रीशुब्रा, श्रीप्रिया,श्रीधन्य 


बियाणे :

तिसऱ्या वर्षाचे कंद वापरून लागवड करावी अथवा चार वर्ष वाढलेल्या कंदाचे चार तुकडे करून लावावे.


लागवडीची वेळ व अंतर :

एप्रिल किंवा मे १२० सें.मी. अंतरावर सरी वरंबे पद्धत ९० सें.मी. अंतरावर लावावे. 


आंतर मशागत :

२० ते ३० दिवसांच्या अंतराने नियमित खुरपणी करावी गरजेनुसार पाणी देणे. 


काढणी :

पिकाची काढणी सुमारे ७ ते ८ महिन्याने करावी.
